The Big 12 is reportedly set to lose four more teams, as Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State will join the Pac-10 Conference.
According to the Austin American-Statesman, a highly placed official from a Big 12 school confirmed Friday that the four schools will join the Pac-10 once formal offers are made. The official told the paper the offers could be made over the weekend.
The newspaper also reported Texas A&M is undecided between joining the Pac-10 or the Southeastern Conference, and has a 72-hour window to accept the Pac-10's offer.
The Pac-10 had reportedly been set to construct a 16-school conference, and Nebraska's move from the Big 12 to the Big Ten on Friday apparently triggered a domino effect. Colorado had left the Big 12 for the Pac-10 on Thursday.
The American-Statesman reported the Texas board of regents have scheduled a meeting for Tuesday morning, with a formal announcement later that day. The paper said Texas Tech's regents will also meet Tuesday.
